A gripping story that leaves you in amazed at how skillfully the ace detective with little luck to support manages to solve the crime.

Overall a enjoyable murder mystery that keeps you engaged till the end. That a crime could be solved after so many years tells a lot about the author's ability to, Hercule Poiroit at his best.
Another fine Christie mystery that keeps the reader guessing until the very end. Series 5 seems to be taking place in 1936.

I found this story enjoyable and with Ariadne's presence funnier than some of the other Poirot stories. This was a fun read to start the year.
The only saving grace I really found was that we had Poirot in this book from beginning to end and not just his usually "spotlight" appearances in the book.
